Bio-fuels are made from any biological source (any living organisms) such as plants which use solar energy to do photosynthetic process. Bio-fuels appear in three different forms: liquid, gas and solid.
Apart from bio-fuels there are fossil fuels as well. But there are some differences between these two fuels. First of all bio-fuels need less time to be formed, one or two years while fossil fuels are being produced during a million years. Bio-fuels contains a great precent of renewable materials and fossil fuels don’t. And what is the most important is the fact that bio-fuels don’t polute the enviroment, they don’t add carbon-dioxide to the athmosphere. So the air stays clean.
These are: bio-gass (made of plant or animal waste), bio-diesel ( made of food waste) and vegetable oil.
This is so called the first generation bio-fuels.The second generation Service Kompor
bio-fuel is made of waste biomass that can be burnt as fuel. It is renewable fuel and can be used for industrial production. Another type of bio-fuel is the third generation produced of fallen apart algae. This type is harmless for the enviroment if spilled. And the fourth generation bio-fuel is the fuel that is made of microorganisms working with carbon-dioxide.
Bio-fuels have their benefits.
The most important one is that bio-fuels don’t impact the eviroment badly, they reduce fossil fuel use and their price is lower than other fuels.
But most economists think that usage of the first generation bio-fuel leads to reducing food amount and that food should be the priority to everyone rather than fuel.
